                  What to expect​ in the course

                  Student Self Leadership is a six-week collaborative online course hosted on Intrepid® by VitalSource. Every week, you’ll participate in a ​one​​​-hour, live​ ​​​virtual session facilitated by Blanchard’s leadership experts.



                  Earn points and badges as you complete your tasks. Track your ​​progress by watching your point total grow and collect badges along the way!

                                  What is a collaborative online course ?

                                  This collaborative, moderated course uses the intuitive Intrepid® platform, where we provide short, self-paced activities—like watching a video, reading an article, or participating in a discussion or interaction. Once a week, participants attend a virtual session to bring everyone together, answer questions, help them apply what they are learning, and participate in small-group activities 

                                  What’s the cost?

                                  We provide our emPOWERme programs to all participants at no cost.

                                  What tools do you need?

                                  You will need a computer, tablet, or​ ​​​phone with ​Internet ​access​​.

                                  How long is it?

                                  The course lasts six weeks. You should set aside one hour for self-study plus one hour to attend the virtual session​ each week​. Altogether it’s about ​​12 hours​​ total. Dropdown headline 5: (5 words) ​​What do you do in the virtual sessions?

                                  What do you do in the virtual sessions?

                                  Our weekly virtual INSPIRE sessions are moderated reflections with your leadership coach to help you apply the content and ​​participate in small-group activities.

                                  When are the virtual sessions?

                                  We hold these sessions on Wednesdays. See the registration page for exact times. You can attend the weekly session that works best for your schedule.

                                  Is attending the virtual sessions mandatory?

                                  Attending or watching the session recordings is required to complete the class​ successfully​.

                                  How can you be successful in the course?

                                  We recommend taking advantage of the bite-sized learning that’s easy to get through 10–15 minutes at a time so that you can fit it in when you can.

                                  If I am 18 years old, should I take the teen or the young adult version?

                                  If you are 18 and still attending secondary or high school, you should register for the teen course for 14–18-year-olds. If you have already completed secondary school, you should register for the Young Adult course for 18–24-year-olds.
